Heston Airlines: Part of the Global IATA Community
Heston Airlines became a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on 20 November 2023, joining a global network of airlines committed to advancing the future of aviation through collaboration, shared standards and continuous improvement.
Representing more than 370 airlines and around 85% of global air traffic, IATA plays a key role in developing international standards, supporting safe and efficient operations, and bringing the aviation industry together to address shared challenges and opportunities.
To become an IATA member, airlines must meet the association's membership requirements, including maintaining compliance with the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme. This internationally recognised standard evaluates an airline's operational management and safety systems, helping ensure a consistent level of safety and operational oversight across the industry.
As an IATA member, Heston Airlines can also participate in IATA Councils, Committees and Working Groups, where airlines collaborate on initiatives covering operational safety, flight and ground operations, digital transformation and sustainability. These groups contribute to the development of industry standards and best practices while addressing the evolving needs of global aviation.
For Heston Airlines, IATA membership represents an opportunity to work alongside airlines and industry experts from around the world, contributing to initiatives that support a safer, more efficient and more sustainable aviation industry while continuing to deliver high-quality ACMI services to its partners.
